OUR OUT REACH PROGRAM
Special Treat A weekend, a festival, or a child's birthday becomes special when the child spends it with a family. Vathsalya encourages families to invite a child to be a part of these joyous occasions.
Education Sponsorship This is an educationl support service for children from needy families. The educational sponsorship programme-Rs. 4000.00 a year-covers their school fees, books and uniforms. The progress of the child is reviewed regularly to help the student achieve a good academic record.
Community Medical Clinic Every week, a community medical clinic caters to the needs of women and children. Immunization and medicines are provided. Women are trained in nutrition and hygiene.
Women In Crisis This is a short stay shelter and rehabilitation programme for harassed and abused women and unwed mothers. They are counselled and given free medical care. Efforts are also made to rehabilitate them by placing them in suitable jobs.
