Mr. Mohan Krishnan, Honorary Chairman

Mohan has over 28 years of experience in marketing, management and consulting, working on both Indian and international projects in the retail, consumer, technology and telecom industries. His key consulting areas are in brand building (product & corporate), B2B marketing strategies, and customer relationship building. His consulting clients include SAP India, Titan/ Tanishq, Dell India, Sasken, Manjushree Technopack, Bhoruka Aluminium and Tata Telecom among several others. Direct and one who quickly gets down to brass tacks, he prefers his consulting to be operational and hands-on because he believes execution is more critical today than the strategy. He currently advises CEO’s of top Indian companies on leveraging the growing Indian B2B and B2C market. Mohan is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta.

Mr. M Jesudas, Honorary Treasurer

Mr. Jesudas has done his M.A., LLB., D.D. He retired in 1994 from Ministry of External Affairs (ICCR) Government of India after 33 years of service. Between 1994 and 2002 he was the Director of FEBA Radio, Bangalore. He was Treasurer of Bible Society of India for 6 years, treasurer of FEBA 2002-2005 and Treasurer of World Cassette Outreach since 2004.

Mrs. Jemima Edwin, Honorary Secretary

Jemima Edwin has been involved with Vathsalya for more than 3 years and has been on the Board of Trustees since 2007. She is committed to serving the underprivileged part of society and has also been a member of Helping Hands for the last 12 years. Jemima brings to the organization the experience she has acquired working in the field of social work for a long time. She is a mother of three and is herself an adoptive parent.

Dr. Eva Bell, Honorary Trustee

Dr. Bell is a gynaecologist/obstetrician and has worked in India, UK, Iran, Saudi and Brunei. She is a freelance writer and her articles and short stories have appeared in magazines, newspapers, anthologies and on the Net. She has also authored two novels, a biography, and two children's books. Her special interests are Women's Issues and Travel.

Mrs. Preeth David, Honorary Trustee

Mrs. Preeth has done her BCom and MBA and is a trained teacher in Ikebana and served in Sogetsu Society of Ikebana. She is a volunteer with TARA, a NGO working with underprivileged women.

Operations Team

Mrs. Mary Paul, Executive Director

Mrs. Mary Paul has done her MSW and Diploma in Counselling. She is the founder director of Vathsalya and founder president of Kutumba a home for physically challenged girls and women. She is also an accredited counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors South Asia and an associate faculty with the Institute of Christian Counselling Secunderabad.

Mrs. Saraswathi Shyamal, Associate Director

Mrs. Saraswathi has done MSc (Finance) at BITS, Pilani and MBA (Accounting) at California State University, Hayward, USA. She has worked in Finance and Auditing for over six years. She then did her Diploma in Counselling at United Theological College, Bangalore and joined us in September 2009. She oversees financial operations and the adoption programme.

Mr. John Moses, Accounts and Administration Officer

John Moses holds a degree in commerce and a masters in computer application. He is responsible for general administration and all aspects of accounting and the preparation of Financial Statements. John has been with Vathsalya for over 12 years.

Mrs. Vineetha Austin, Office Secretary

Mrs. Vineetha Austin has done BA and one year Secretarial Course from YWCA, New Delhi. She has 25 years of work experience as Administrative Assistant/Office Secretary. She joined Vathsalya in the year 2002 and is responsible for general administration and is part of the team working on adoption.

Mrs. Sherly Thomas, Senior Social Worker

Mrs. Sherly has done her MSW, PGDHRM and Diploma in Counselling. She has 7 years of experience as a social worker and she has been with Vathsalya since 2002. Mrs. Sherly is part of the team responsible for the adoption and child care programme.

Ms. Sylvia, Social Worker

Ms. Sylvia has done her MSW and is working towards her accreditation as a counsellor. She has over 7 years of experience as a social worker. Ms. Sylvia is part of the team responsible for the adoption and child care programme.

Mr. Thippe Swamy, Social Worker

Mr. Thippe Swamy has done MSW and has been with Vathsalya since December 2008. He is part of the team responsible for the adoption and child care programme.

Mrs. Susan Ninan, Part-time Social Worker

Mrs. Susan Ninan has completed her MA in Social Work, Diploma in Montessori Training and is an Accredited Level 1 Counsellor, Person to Person. She runs a Montessori school and has over 10 years of experience working with children. She is part of the team responsible for the adoption and child care programme.

Mrs. Savita S, Teacher

Mrs. Savitha teaches our children at our informal school and coordinates our Educational Sponsorship programme. She has been trained in basic Italian Language to teach the children at the Centre. She has over 7 years experience working in Accounts, Teaching and in a Domestic Call Centre.

Our team also includes one warden, 15 Child care givers, 3 nurses and 2 drivers.
